question about se Clint Lowery

Hey everybody!

As I will be soon part of the PRS family (I just ordered a SE Clint Lowery) I realized I haven't checked one thing: how much does this guitar weigh?

They vary from model to model. From what I've seen ,most Prs's are between 6.5-7.6 pounds.

Ok, it's good the weight thing. Found on amazon that it's 20 pounds and I got a bit scared Then again, the guitar plus two string sets for bass guitar is a package of about 20 pounds. I wonder why.

I saw one in Boston GC this weekend. Looked fantastic and felt great, did not get to play it. Looked less SE'ish than most, looked the business for sure.

I went heavy on the one i ordered from sweet water i believe it was 7lbs 11oz, Congrats on the new guitar

Didn't know this guitar is so liked among PRS guitar players now I'm even more eager for it to arrive.

Is it a bad thing that I'll want to play it one tone lower than standard tuning? (I'll play in D)

Mine is ridiculously light. I was actually hoping it would be heavier.

Very nice guitar!! Better put lighter gauge strings on it if you're gonna play in D.

I'm gonna go for 0.10 strings. That's what I have on Dean right now and I go in drop C and it's ok I like them lighter.

I agree. I have a SE Tremonti that sits for this reason.
