Hello, I hope you all are having a great day.
I recently received a 2019 Custom 24-08 as a gift from a family member, it's my first American PRS and while I had my eyes set on the McCarty I am very grateful to have received such an incredible instrument. In fact, receiving such a valuable gift still has me kind of floored.
That said, I was thinking about changing the pickups to the 57/08s to achieve a more classic tone akin to something like the 594. However, when looking at the PRS accessory website, I am noticing that description says that the 57/08s are compatible with 3 way, 3 way push/pull, and 5 way blade configurations.
The Custom 24-08 is similar to a 3 way blade push/pull, but instead of push/pull it has the toggle switches to select the coil tap or split (actually still not sure which it is) the bass and treble pickups respectively. So, I am just wondering if getting some 57/08s installed is possible for my guitar.
If it's not possible, no biggie the thing still sounds like a dream.
All the best.
