This is for a guitar that's equipt with a push/pull pot for coil tapping. Could a "blend knob" of some kind be added so you could control how much of the coils you would want to turn down? Make sense?
I'm asking because I tried an SE Mira today. It played great (loved the Wide Thin neck carve) but I'm not crazy about full strength humbuckers. They're generally too thick for my liking, especially in the neck position.
There's one particular review for the Mira on YouTube and I swear I preferred the sound of the guitar with the coil tap engaged as oppose to full strength humbucker mode. But there were times when the amount of reduction was a bit too much, like with certain clean tones. I thought if a blend knob as mentioned could be added so I could control the exact amount of coil reduction I wanted, then something like that just might work for me.
Could this be done on something like the SE Mira?
