Question about a hard case for a SE245 ( shawn?)

Ok the new SE 245s are built a bit different than the SE singecut. The older SE singlecut would fit in a LP case or even a USA Singelcut case. Reason being the body was thinner near the neck thus the neck had a back angle on it. one reason you also see all LP cases with foam support near the upper bout as the neck has a back angle.

NOW the new SE 245 has a thicker body and has NO back bow. if you lay the guitar on the floor on its back the neck is straight off the top. parallel to th floor. this will not work with ANY LP case withthe added padding as it causes the neck to stick up out of the case.

SO in light of this so far from what I can gather with all the dimensions i have this case here should work http://www.gatorcases.com/p/16136-220/gwe-elec

Does anyone have any experience with this case for fitting the se245 or what are they using. I wish the neck angle was the same as the USA or older SE singlecuts as then any LP case could work.

This is my boys. One reason I don`t like the gig bag is the constant retuning( major) every time you pull it out of the bag as the tuners always get moved.

I use a very similar Road Runner case and it works fine.

well the gator will not work. guitar a tad to thick. Not they do have one listed fir a PRS style but the length is way to oshort unless it is a misprint on the website.

wel ltried the gator. No go. then tried the Suggested Road runner. still to tight on the knobs. lid should close all the way to the latch woth out having to force it and the neck restraint is a JOKE. So I guess I will have to save up for a PRS multifit. Man I wish I could find one for aroud $100 instead of $180 to $190 dpending on where one buys .

Yep, I got one from Sweetwater for $129.

so what was the number or model. when I did a search they only listed the vintage case. for the inside dimensions it will not work. the SE245 is 3" from back to top of control knobs. so case needs to be LARGER than 3" to keep from flexing the lid and putting way to much pressure on the knobs for my taste.

I just looked, only the Vintage is listed now.
Best thing for you to do is call them up and ask them why the Multifit case is not listed anymore.
Could be a mistake on their end.

Well it is not available from PRS right now either so maybe waiting for another shipment batch?

well I was looking at Sweetwater and they listed a vintage case. BUT then I knoticed the manuf. number and it is the same as PRS multi fit case ACC4255. SOOO I ordered it. should have it by weeks end!
