As I have written before, I have had some challenges getting my Bernie adjusted..The guy at our local nationwide chain guitar shop "Bong hit Bubba' only charged me 40 dollars but it sounded worse than when I brought it..So then I schooled myself and still cant get the intonation right or buzz out of the strings..So at a Urgent Care clinic (I have a bone infection in my foot, yah foot and mouth disease ha) i met a guy who gave me a number to an A1 Luthier.. So I call him and tell him whats going on and he sounds just like that Bob Ross dude from PBS that used to paint those pictures of cabins by lakes and had a Xanax monotone, and he says ( I swear) " Well...why dont we have supper one night and we can discuss your guitar" WTH??? What is it, am I just snake bit????

I took an SE into a chain place once, with complaint of poor intonation in the first few frets, and the young moron tech there proceeded to tell me that the guitar was junk and nothing could be done. A week later I found a guy with some nut files and the guitar has been fine ever since. Still trying to figure out what exactly the guy at the first place actually knew about guitars.

Andy..he was working on my Precious guitar behind the counter while puttin in a set of pickups in another guitar and answering the phone and ringing up string purchases. Jeezy peezy..But I dont want to have supper with Bob Ross to get my guitar right either.

You're welcome to come to Illinois and we could discuss your intonation issues in my hot tub if you like Dave.

I've met some pretty far out there builders. Every single one has been nice and very interesting to talk with, but a dinner offer?!?!?!?

A good luthier is a great thing to find. Ask around (any boutique guitar stores around your area?) and see what you can find.

I gotta believe in a FL there have got to be some good techs! Maybe somebody here can give you a recommendation? Or just send it to the PTC as has been suggested. ;)

I found a good Tech Shop (Eric's Guitar Shop) and a good amp shop ( Amphole ) here in California - can't tell you how nice it is to have "Go to guy's" for both! :D

That Luthier number that dude gave me in the clinic..the one that sounds like Bob Ross..I dont remember his real name ........something like Turd Ferguson..

Hans...Ill PM you his number..First thing he is gonna say.."Isnt the gift of music a wondrous, joyous thing " or something like that, then he gives you his Curriculum Vitae and asks how you feel about all things Greek, and then the dinner offer comes up.

NOO Wait..I got it.. He is just like that skit on Saturday Night Live where Will Ferrell and Rachel Dratch are that couple that make out all the time and are really intellectual and are full of greasy goat meat.
