Watching Queen Rock Montreal on Disney+ at the moment when is should be going out to cut the grass (yard work).

Anyone else watched this?

Also, can anyone think of another rock gig where the drummer did a five minute timpani solo?

1981, I was barely out of short trousers.

Have a great day all.

I had no idea it's on. I will investigate after work

Edit: watching now ;)

I've owned this for years, but I did buy the new Blu-Ray. Just watched it last night, in fact. It's excellent. Might be Queen at their performance peak. And the inclusion of the Live Aid performance and rehearsals puts this over the top. I'm all about physical media to begin with, but to me, this is a must-own if you're a Queen fan. Never have to worry about the rights expiring.

It’s a great watch! I’ve got the Blu Ray of it.

Now in high definition for IMAX, Freddie’s teeth almost come out of the screen ;)

But yes it’s a special performance.

I haven't seen it, but I was fortunate enough to see Queen in a small venue that the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra plays in, called The Jubilee Auditorium back in the 70s on back-to-back nights. I want to say '78, but I can't remember for sure.

The backup band was Thin Lizzy and at that time Brian Robertson was away from the band. I think they said he cut his hand. The replacement guitarist was none other than Gary Moore.

I knew I was lucky at the time. but looking back I really had no idea.

Really most of you did not see that concert in the past ?
Where did you live until now!? First time I saw that movie was on VCR in late 80s.

1982, the best era for Queen: they all were at their best shape and at the peak of their production (all their records after Hot Space are crap IMO ... including the Wembley gig).

I never got the chance to see Queen in their heyday. But, the Mrs and I did see them with Adam Lambert singing back in 2016 or 2017. They were awesome! And, I was fortunate enough to see Brian May supporting his solo album, "Back to the Light", when he was opening for Guns n Roses on their Use Your Illusion tour. May was fantastic. One of my favorite tones, ever. G-n-R on the other hand.....let down.
