This seems like a very easy question with an obvious answer but I am just having a bit of trouble googling the information I am looking for. I have the Paul Allender SE model and I have been enjoying it for a few years. But I am ashamed to admit that I just noticed today that the volume knob pulls out. I was aware that the tone knob pulled out, but not the volume knob. This is a feature that I have never really used much.
Could someone explain what both of the these knobs do while pushed or pulled. I notice the tone changes. I read it possibly switches the humbuckers to single coil? However, I thought the store I purchased it from told me one direction puts the pickups in unpowered mode. Maybe I am remembering that wrong. The model I play has EMG powered pickups if that makes a difference.
