I was wondering how long it was going to take for someone to mention this. I also wear gloves these days for carving turkey, handling uncooked meat and working on my vehicles. Separate boxes of rubber gloves in the kitchen and in the garage.
WAY back when I was young, thin and handsome (a time before we had personal computers and mobile phones) I did a lot of professional wrench turning. Back then, I wish someone had though of using automotive rubber gloves like we have now. Now days (as in years which begin with a numeral 2 instead of a numeral 1) I'm a computer guy but I still do a little wrench turning on my own vehicles. When I do, these are the gloves I use.
when dicing jalapeños don’t absentmindedly forget to wash your hands and take a leak 15 minutes later. The next hour will be hell. Talking from recent experience.
