I actually prefer the sound of the Tonare, just with the band, I’d need upper fret access.
I chose mine for that exact reason. We were in an “unplugged” phase and my old Charvel acoustic gave me bloody fingers. And the electronics work perfectly (full disclosure: I have an older SE Angelus, but SE acoustics, in general, are a great buy especially if you use them in a band setting).

That’s because it was me who probably said that. :p It’s my theory (and mine alone, I think) that you boil down to one or the other. You can be both but... one is more dominant, and neither are inherently bad.
