I've been watching the 305 lately, thinking of ditching a strat for one.. people are asking high but the 305 isn't really moving until the price drops. The last one I was watching with any seriousness finally (recently) sold a decent amount below $2k but not quite $1200.

I have to agree with some of the other posters that typically the 305s are not really selling at the 2k price point, I know there are 2 locally that even at $1400 and $1450 respectively have not sold in the last year or so.

The $1400 one is solid black but in damn near mint shape
the $1450 one has a decent looking top and is in player shape
Honestly I have been going back and forth between picking up the black one. It has a really good tones I just keep telling myself that I want a Paul's Guitar more lol

If the black one has a maple fingerboard, you (or one of us... ME! LOL) needs to be all over that if it's near mint!

I so want to love a 305! Conceptually they’re exactly what I want a PRS “Strat” to be.

I find the pickups to be awful though, it’s the same problem I have with my DC3 and 513/509’s.
