I absolutely love this guitar. I think a lot of thought was put into its development, and I believe that even with the high quality of the various components, the overall guitar quality is much higher than the sum of the parts. That being said, the 57/08s were a bit mellow for what I was looking for.

I had never changed a guitar pickup myself, but decided to give it a shot and install a set of Tremontis. Despite following the diagram correctly, my soldering skills (or lack thereof) let me down, and I was left with an inaudible electric guitar. Subsequently shipped it off to PTC, and they fixed it for me.

I love this thing even more now. What a firebreather!

I am so happy with this series of guitars that I just purchased another. Hope to receive it soon, and will post a NGD thread at that time.

Oh man, I love that you're going to have two of them!! Heck yeah I'm jealous!

Nice! Lemme know if you wanna get rid of those 57/08's!

I will definitely keep you in mind. I go back and forth. I worry maybe I'll want to put them back in someday if/when i mellow out, i.e. grow up!

Sweet! I have a few guitars for sale at the moment. A McCarty Singlecut is next on my list after I sell one.

I thought I had sufficiently un-gassed myself from the PS MCSCs...I was wrong. McGorgeous...glad the new pups float your boat!

I'm in the same boat as crgtr, if you want to sell those pups and they can't get them for whatever, lemme know. Been looking for a set of 57/08s for my sc245.

Beautiful. That would be beautiful (period)!

There is something i just love about the cherry sunburst flame top. You would never find a '59 Les Paul, new or used, with a top like that. While I have never played either, I bet they are neck and neck….sort of speak.
