PRS vs Fender Aerodyne strat

I just bought a Fender Aerodyne and it seems to me that my PRS SE Custom 24 is far superior. On the Fender it seems as the strings are fuzzy, where as the PRS strings are smooth. Has anyone experienced this?

Then I would say the strings are the problem not the guitar.

Yes. Funny thing is is that I had a string change and set up done and still sounds this way.

"Fuzzy" is a unique descriptor.

My experience with a lot of Strat-type guitars is they sound very "gritty" or "grainy" to my ears. That's a single-coil vs. humbucker thing. I generally don't get along well with Strat type single-coil pickups. Tele pickups or P90s tend to be voiced more toward what my ears like to hear, and how I approach the guitar, and I'm mostly a humbucker guy.

So saying the Custom 24 is "far superior" based on the pickups in the Strat sounding "fuzzy" is just a matter of taste. One isn't better than the other, you just prefer the sound of one of them more than the other.
