Hi guys,
Currently digging my standard 24 with HFS/VB installed. I've been looking to upgrade them with square shaped pickups as I like that new design better.
Today I came across 59/09 bass used for a good price and I was wondering how this compares to vintage bass? Similar? different? they seem to have same alnico 2 with similar output 8.5k vs 8.4, but VB with more mid and 59/09 with more bass.
I love the sound of HFS/VB so my goal is to get exactly the same ones with a new shape but they are hard to come by in where I live, especially vintage bass. if they are similar I wouldn't mind purchasing it.
