Hi Folks

I just picked up a USA made Starla bridge pickup and would like to try it in my Vela. Would the pickup be a straight swap ? Thanks for your thoughts :)

Probably. I've upgraded the bridge pup on a couple of mine...

That’s great to hear folks... now need to work out how 4 wires on the Korean version reduce to 3 on the USA build :)o_O

Ooh, which Railhammer is that in the black one? I was considering a Railhammer Hyper V for one of my Velas, probably the solid - how does it sound with the neck pickup???

First version H90's.. this is a "Tel 90" -

Gets close enough to a Tele bridge tone clean, and rocks like a PAF when you add the heat.
Matches perfectly with the neck pup. I added a P/P tone pot for phase switching in the middle position.
I've used many Railhammer pups... everything Joe Naylor designs is quality.
Settled on a Hyper Vintage for my black satin prototype...
