PRS USA Custom Floyd Rose Choice Cuts

I keep thinking I want one but I can't make my prs trem go out of tune as it is and can't seem to justify it...

The PRS trem does go out of tune with heavy bends, especially the G string but a quick dip of he bar brings it back into line - for most I'd say a Floyd is overkill. But it does feel different underhand and there's no doubt it stays in tune better if doing Vai/Satch antics. I think the PS trem with locking saddles probably works as good as a Floyd (wish those saddles were available on the core range.. Would be ordering another PRS if it did!).

I would agree that prs trems do go out of tune with really heavy use. I use mine a lot and every so often I will have to bring a string back to pitch. Not a big deal to me and certainly not enough to want the pain of a floyd. I like the 10 minute string changes.

You're right. Not had a Floyd equipped guitar for over a decade now. What's funny with the PRS trem is that you get used to using the bar to bring it back in tune and it becomes part of your playing style... Still would like those locking saddles though!

man, I'm wailing on mine and tuning with a turbo tuner strobe tuner... I have to maybe turn a tuning key a small fraction to stop a slight creep in the tuner display like once a week(I check it at the beginning of every practice session and usually at least once during).

I'd drop coin on locking saddles though!
