PRS Special 22 Semi-Hollow case can't fit a core 594?

Hi all - So I have a core Special 22 Semi-Hollow Wood Library with the black paisley case. Today I tried to put my 594 in it and while the shape fit, it wouldn't close all the way unless I pushed really hard on the lid. I would have thought that the multi-fit case would have fit both. I don't think the Special 22 has it's own case as it is essentially a custom 22 which is supposed to fit in the same case. Am I missing something here or are they different cases?

McCarty are a bit thicker than customs, so a snug fit for your special would be tight for the 594.

I actually think it's the same case used for both, and if it's a WL case, it's probably the same as the Artist case with the French Fit.. The padding gets squished down when it's packed and shipped. Eventually it forms to the guitar.

I don't think PRS has separate cases for McCarty thickness guitars and CU22 thickness guitars at all.
