hey guys, new to the forum but ive had my se 245 for a little under 2 years now, and decided to change the black pickup rings to ivory and bought some that supposedly fit les pauls in general (lol jks they dont)

Just wondering if the Ivory pickup rings from the accessories store fits the se range as well without sanding or anything?

Pretty sure they do. Seen plenty of SE's that have US rings on them. Infact John Mann upgraded a ZM recently and that had US rings on it. Seen plenty others too. Don't recall anyone having any issues.

Can be a pain sourcing rings in the right size and colour...

LP rings usually have a curve to match the carved top. I think the US rings are flat?

Now, the stock rings are slanted to follow the neck pitch with the bridge ring being taller than the neck ring. I quite like that but the US rings do look nice.

Anyway, yes they should fit fine.

PRS rings are indeed flat. Some LP rings you have to put the curve in the bottom and it's a pain. IIRC the SE rings are taller than the USA ones but they will fit and can be used. The pup just sticks up a bit higher out of the ring.

Considet PJHender on ebuy. He makes beautiful wooden rings for Prs guitars. He got started making rings for his PRS. I`ve now got them on 2 guitars, and will eventuall do every PRS I own.

- I have one set of SE stoptail pickup rings in cream. These are flat and the bridge ring is taller in height. (not listed on website- call me / email me)
- I also have Core pickup rings in stock, in black and ivory. These are flat and are the same height.
- I also have all kinds of wood pickup rings made by John Guilford (www.pickuprings.com) - name your flavor... I probably have them.
These are high quality, US made and guaranteed to fit. (not listed on website- call me / email me)
