Prs Se Tremonti Truss Rod

My action is very high so i decided to make an adjustment.I have 6 7 8 mm sockets and tried every one of them.But can't fit them into the truss rod.Because it's touching the headstock and sockets can't fit in there.How can i do this thing ?

The PRS tool is the only tool that work for truss rid adjustment. None of my sockets or closed/open ended wrenches will fit.
