PRS SE Swamp Ash Special!

Which is a better direction is completely a personal preference that's going to vary for everyone for different reasons.. The HSH is going to open up more options. After modding my core SAS it's become a Swiss army of a guitar but I wouldn't part with my Cu24 or KL33 for it. Not sure which would win in a cage match if there could only be one. All are a win for different reasons.
I've decided to list all three for sale. The first two to sell will leave me the third one, which I expect to be the Epi since PRS guitars appear to be in hotter demand.

Had trouble in Oz finding a SAS Sunburst with maple fretboard. Most for sale now in Oz are the rosewood fretboards.

Finally found a maple and arriving before the weekend - 🤞 fingers crossed.

Ps my expectation for this guitar is no more than a fun experimental experience - and if beyond that I will be stoked :)

Nice!

I really like this guitar…I did immediately notice that it feels like a boat anchor weighing in at 9lbs+ 🤔

The action is nice and slinky (no buzzes)…this this has a gorgeous grain that’s very hard ti distinguish where the lines of separation are (almost like it’s constructed out of one solid piece of Swamp Ash) 💪🏼

Mine weights just over 7lbs, almost exactly the same as my 2408

Most “swamp ash” these days is not actually swamp ash, which grows very fast and is very lightweight.

Love me a nice piece of ash...

Broseph why did you move yours?? I have 4 S2s that I play most was on the fence about mine recently ...
It honestly did nothing for me. It needed some fret work, but the configuration was not to my taste. I would have had to rewire it quite a bit. I couldn’t see me playing it much over what I had. So I resold it.

I've only had mine for three weeks but I already love it. It is a little heavy but I mostly play while sitting nowadays. I love the neck and mine does not have any fret issues. I had it set up for low action and I don't have any buzz. The only mod I am considering is locking tuners. Try one; you'll love it.

Just picked up my new SAS from luthier after set up. Him: "I didn't like PRS until I set up yours, That's a great guitar. I could never get past the birds and the bling, but that guitar sounds like a $3500 instrument. Great choice!"

I never noticed those things about the PRSi I've had. I rather liked the abalone moons on my '94 CE-24.......
The birds are one of the things I have always loved about PRS guitars.
