Hi, I'm new here.
I recently picked up a new 2024 PRS SE Standard 24-08 on sale (ridiculous price BTW) with TCI-S pickups and I have to say, I think they are pretty amazing. I was halfway expecting to swap them out from what I'd read but I was actually pretty shocked at how good they sound, with my setup at least (Friedman Little Sister/Peavey 212 with Greenbacks).
Now I'm really gassing for the Santana SE since it's now on sale too so I was wondering if anyone could compare the TCI-S vs the Santana-S pickups.
I know the Santana is a little different with a slightly shorter scale, and I guess it's got a maple cap on top of the mahogany, and I know it doesn't have the switches, but if the pickups are too similar sounding I'd probably have second thoughts. I typically just stay on the bridge pickup. Anyone!
