PRS SE Silver Sky Jack socket and electrics upgrade

Hi all,
I have a PRS SE Silver Sky. I am fed up with the Jack socket either being lose or needing soldering again.

Can any one recommend an upgraded part such as switch craft etc and what size and part number would it be?

I have not been impressed with the pots either so would be grateful for upgrade advice to an Alpha or CTS pot which ever is the highest quality. What size shaft and pot values would be needed?

Lastly the 5 way switch selector can anyone recommend a high quality replacement?

Part numbers would be really helpful.

I would highly recommend Emerson Custom Prewired Kits. I install them on all of my guitars, including Core and SE Silver Sky's. You can find them on Reverb or on Emerson's site (sometimes not in-stock or backordered).

I called this week over to PRS CS to upgrade parts on my S2s...after a few years they all went kaput...volume pots...selectors...jacks...I dealt with Matt King great guy!

Try an Alembic Stratoblaster. Drops right in and the top jack won't give any trouble, plus the boost can be helpful.

The jack being loose will cause the need for solder as the connections are probably getting twisted...but even a cheap jack thats tightened will be fine. The problem is you usually need to take the jack out to tighten the collar nut and hold the jack at the same time. Switchcraft makes a great jack...some people will say go for puretone, or some other boutique builder. Its just electrical contact.
