PRS SE Piezo

I think that will defeat the reason for manufacturing it
the lower price point so it can be affordable
to beginners and serious players alike

I would LOVE to see one as it is hard to justify spending $3,000+ (at least for me). I have two SE's that I LOVE but would like a more affordable P24.

I feel like that would be a bit niche. I could see maybe doing an S2 with a Piezo but I feel that the cost would be driven up too high on an SE to really keep the value that SEs have.

That being said, I know that a few people around here have added aftermarket Piezo bridges to SEs. Maybe they could chime in!

I can only say, Mod your SE!!! This is what I did to my ZM SE semi. I purchased the Graphtech Ghost stuff and made it happen captain, I originally did not route the wires from the saddles in the body. I sent them under the bridge pickup. about a month later I did the route in the body under the bridge to get the wires into the bridge pickup cavity. Need to take another pic of it now. I removed the Gibson pickups you see in it now ant put a Mira in the neck and a Tremonti in the bridge. This beast has a master vol/tone for the mags and a master vol for piezo. The cool part is the master vol for the piezo is a push/pull, when activated it darkens the acoustic tone of the piezo. I also added a push/push for the master tone for the mags to coil tap them. Yes the added expense was worth it. If cost is an issue, get cheaper used se and do the mod. You won't be disapponited.

Indeed! Did you do separate jacks of the mag/piezo?
Thanks guys!!!

The kit comes with the correct jack to provide a single jack only setup. I believe a stereo jk. So only holes I had to drill was for the piezo leads under the bridge and then from bridge cavity to the that hole. It was very easy!!!! the hard part was figuring out the wiring scheme for the electronics. took a minute to determine how to combine everything. If I want to have separate I use a y cable I brought from music store. I feed the mags into my fender blues jr and the piezo in to an acoustic brand acoustic amp. it is my SE P245 semi!!!! funny part is , had I known they where going to come out with the p245, I would have not got the guitar or done the mod. I am glad I was not aware.
