PRS SE Paul's Guitar - Ground problems

I am considering purchasing the PRS SE Paul's guitar 2025. I had placed an order at a local store and it was having a nasty grounding issue. I had gone to another store and tried the 2023 PRS SE PG, and the same grounding issue.

I see a lot of posts online about PRS SE and grounding issues. Is this something that is commonly observed? People seem to mention that the ground wire is badly soldered or in some cases, completely not present.

Anyone had such experiences?

Did it get better or worse when touching metal?
Did the cable plug have a metal sleeve; did you touch it? Better or worse?

I can't remember a lot of these details, unfortunately.

When I touched the metal screws of the pick up, the sound was only getting worse so which made me come to a conclusion that it was a ground problem.

Possible hot and ground are swapped at the jack.
