Hi,

Since a few weeks I am a lucky owner of this guitar. Currently I am struggling with it. I am wondering what could be a good setup to use the piezo and HBs seperately. I am thinking of using two Opus Amp Modeller & Cab Sims (Two notes) . One for piezo (with acoustic IR loaded) and the other for the HBs with a cab sim loaded.
With this setup I hope to achieve the warm clean tones with a lot of headroom.

Please give me your opinion about this setup. There might be some software solutions too ? But then some latency issues might occur ?

If this has been discussed already ( I did not find it) than please post the link.

Thx !!

Hi, check out this topic I wrote when I got this guitar: https://forums.prsguitars.com/threads/signal-chain-for-a-se-hollowbody-ii-piezo.59477/

I currently use a Hotone Ampero 2 Stomp, with the piezo input connected to one input and the mag. only input to the other. This gives me access to both sounds, and a mix and I can still process them separately. Might change in the future, but works great for experimenting.
Thx, but that is way too complex for me. Too many choices/pedals etc. Are you familiar with the OPUS from TwoNotes ?

No, I am not. I have it on my list for go with another amp pedal I have my eyes on.
However, the Hotone Ampero is just a single pedal with two inputs ;-). It's a cheaper alternative to other modelling amps. Doesn't get much simpler than that if you want both outputs treated separately. You are proposing using two pedals to realize the same modeling as can be done with 1 pedal.

What I describe in the topic that I linked to uses more discrete pedals, but that is not necessary of course. Also, most of the pedals in that topic are geared to using the pedals I already had for the electric.

I have channel 1 setup as:
- Input (electric guitar) --> Amp simulation --> Cab simulation --> Volume pedal --> Output

I have channel 2 setup as:
- Input (acoustic guitar) --> Acoustic Pre-amp --> IR loader --> Compressor --> EQ ---> Volume pedal. The compressor and EQ are optional, so you could also do:
- Input (acoustic guitar) --> Acoustic Pre-amp --> IR Loader --> Volume pedal.

I have added the virtual volume pedals, so that with the 3 foot switches on the pedal, I can switch between only electric, only acoustic or a blend of both. The guitar does not have a switch, so if you want to switch mid-song, you would otherwise have to be quick with the blend knob and mag. volume knob.
