PRS SE Custom 24 fret size

Hi all,

I'm currently thinking of buying PRS SE Custom 24 Trampas Green with satin neck finish. Only thing that stops me from order button is that i cannot find what fret wire they use. I realy want my next guitar to have jumbo frets.

I will be ordering online as no local shops stock SE series.

The SE fretwire is a little lower than the regular USA-built PRS fretwire. It's certainly not jumbo. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Too bad. I've played some Ibanez guitars in my local store the other day and while i didn't like any of them because of different quality issues I really enjoyed the bigger frets that they have. Right now I have Squier Affinity Strat with medium jumbos. Do you think PRS SE is in the same medium-jumbo ballpark?

This has them listed as Medium Jumbo on the SE24 Standard. It's about 1/3 of the way down the "Features" (specs) list.

Thanks for the heads up. Now i need to rethink how much i need jumbo frets
