hi all has anyone tried or own a se custom 24 Floyd opinions please wondering what the Floyd on it is like for tuning stability ect. I own 2 se custom 24,s and I want to buy the Floyd version so opinions and pictures would be great.

Dave.

I tried one in a local shop (the violet one).
Pretty similar to the custom24. I'd say 95% the same exact guitar
The tuning is rock solid. I played a little bit with the whammy. The FR1000 wasn't smooth as an OFR and honestly I felt that the regular prs tremolo paired with a good uprouting is ten times better, even on a SE.
But, if you need the floyd rose, it's one hell of a guitar . I'd get a torero over this for the purpose of having a metal oriented guitar, but still, great guitar.

(The USA one even goes out of tune - but that's probably because it was played out of the box without stretch)

The Floyd will be as stable as a OFR. Its a carbon copy of the OFR, including all materials. The only difference is that it is made in Korea. There is no detectable difference in one from the other.
