PRS SE Custom 22

Well done. I have a custom 22 SE. I also know peach guitars well but I've never been. Only looked at their website for hours on end.

Get some locking tuners and quality pickups in that SE ;)

Well now's your time to visit Peach at their Colchester store. I have it on good authority that Mr Paul Reed Smith will be there in person for an event on Friday 11th March

A treat not to be missed - take the backplate from your new guitar - he'll probably be signing things!

Play the guitar a while before you change anything. Some of them don`t need anything changed, and some of them need to be hot-Rodded to the max.

I changed the strings for Ernie Ball 10 to 46, the supplied strings were far too light for me and I had to tweak the truss rod afterwards. I have owned and worked on many guitars and was a little bit wary, but it was by a very long way the nicest truss rod ever, very smooth and very easy to get just right.

Shiny isn't it. The neck is superb as is the balance, weight, construction and finish...... but...... (distant sound of wolves howling at the moon) there was a wiring fault!(sound of horror music swells in the background) One of the pickups was wired out of phase (Woman screams) when both pickups were selected it sounded really quite dreadful. This has now been corrected by the good people at Peach and all is well, though I may change the bridge pickup as I found it a bit too bright for the style of music that it is being used for. On the plus side, the split coil sound of the neck pickup is the best I've ever heard and actually sounds better than both my Strats.
