Hello all!
First post so im sorry if this isnt quite in the right place. A few days ago I ordered a prs se standard 24 off reverb. Love it! What i dont love is the action so i set about straightening the truss rod a bit. I have an actual prs se wrench for it but it was very very very hard to turn in both directions, even after several turns to the right(if your looking at the front of the guitar. Well after many turns and bowed neck the nut came off and im trying to screw it back on but it wont catch? Ill turn it in both directons and it just doesnt screw on.

I read somewhere that prs fuses the nut to the truss rod? If this is true is there anybody that can think of a fix for this??
Thanks

There are a few problems here, Olivia. First of all, i use a USA truss rod tool on my S2 truss rod. Secondly, adjusting a PRS is very different from any of the other 50 gazillion guitars I`ve owned. PRS usually need very subtle adjustments. I think you`re in deep doo-doo with the nut coming off. You should bite the bullet and call PTC, which is the PRS custom shop. There are very, very few people I would trust to fix this. This isn`t a repair for a friend or discount repair place, like the back of a big box store. You`re very close to big trouble, so you need to get it fixed by the best place possible. Good luck.

Thank you both for your replies. That seems like sound advice ill give them a call this weekend. Will keep ya posted.

Edit : Bad news, theyre only open weekdays, have to wait until Monday:(

Goodness! Almost forgot about this thread, well i got in touch actually with the place I bought it from and they said they'd either repair or replace it. Just sent it out today so we will see what happens.

EDIT: Still waiting to hear back from the place I bought it. I sent them a message yesterday about them sending it out yet, havent heard back. Lets hope its not goong to be one of those ordeals..:(
