PRS SC 245 - serial number???

Hello!
I am buying a PRS SC 245 guitar.
I got one, year 2009, original hardcase, documents, not exactly super preserved, but I'm not convinced by the serial number. As far as I know, it should start with 09 .... but it starts with CA ....
If, i look the back side of the headstock very well under the light, it looks like it has been repainted, but it is almost not noticeable.
Does anyone know if such a serial number is ok, whether it has been corrected or even a copy.

As far as I am aware, the serial number should start with a 9 or 09. I don’t think any 2009 PRS guitars started with CA in the serial number.

A word to the wise on guitar buying... if it looks altered, it probably is. If you’re not certain, don’t buy it.

Is it an SE? The SE line does not start with the year indicator.

There are no PRS serial numbers that start with CA. Even the new Indonesian ones start with CTI followed by the letter designator for the year.

You will need to make a few more comments first, on this or other threads. Dont be shy, we are all civilized people here. Once youve made 3 to 10 comments (posts) you will be able to use links (bbcodes) from another picture hosting site like imgur.com.

If you want to type out the full serial number as you see it we may be able to decipher it. You can also email PRS cutomer service and ask them to verify it for you.

aha, ok.
the serial number is 148291, also on the documents from the PRS this number is, if I enter 09 148291 on the website "PRS serial number data decorder" it is displayed:
Production year: 2009
Model: Set-Neck
Production number: 148291
But, on the back side head stock says CA 148291. Everything looks ok, the color of the serial numbers, the font ... but I don't understand why CA. Even if someone were to fix their head due to an injury, I don't know why I would write CA ....
