Pics out of the way first haha
A local shop had this hanging up high in perfect lighting where the top on this one popped like crazy, caught my eye immediately. You glance at it a few times, tell yourself "just leave" but then you ask to bring it down to play it and by then it's too late. These photos don't really do justice but for an S2 it's terrific amounts of flame, even the mahogany body has some flame on it. I didn't really intend to buy another but I still had a set of pickups I want to go in one of these and I'd rather leave the new '24 Thinline 594 I just bought stock because it's just great as is. This is a '23 model year without the new core upgrades. Still an outrageously good guitar, tons of sustain, solid build. The electronics respond similarly to the core pots and switches but the pickups are different - not worse - just different.. smoother maybe than 58/15LT's and a little less lively.

I love these S2's, the build is there, you can easily just make it yours. They had a core 594, same finish next to it but the top was super plain and it made no sense. Just thought I'd show and tell! Enjoy the rest of your weekends

Nice.

I have one of these. A 2021 version. It's currently with a tech for a switch clean-up/replacement but other than that a fabulous feeling and playing instrument.

Let me first say that I am a fan of PRS guitars and own a few. I am very comfortable with the 10” radius, the build quality, the bevels on my S2’s and overall playability. But I just can’t get used to the thick neck on these models. Sure wish they had the option of pattern regular or even wide thin. The neck is thick for a reason on these for what I read, but I will never own one due to the neck thickness.

Very nice looking guitar you have there. My S2’s do not have a top that looks this nice. Tried the SE version, and it was not for me. And I know the thin line offers the wide thin option, but it is just not the same as these thicker bodies. Maybe take sand paper to one. 😳
