Awesome build! So cool. How about a flock of birds on the back of the body?
Wise choice V I hope they will be the sweet and simple MOP birds
I'm late to the party as usual. :dontknow: The top, back, and neck look fantastic, Vaughn! Is that a quilted mahogany back? Very nice! Looks like a great day with JFB, JustRob, and JustSteve (he's back in the wood library!). Great choices, Vaughn. Congrats, man!
Wow!! Can't believe I missed this one! Cannot WAIT to see this one finished. Looks like you had an awesome time. Very envious of your vault visit.
20th Anni Birds and Whisps = WIN.
Thanks! Yup, quilted hog back. I couldn't turn it down as much as I tried.
So happy for you brother, I'll make that pilgrimage myself soon.
So I suppose I should have put some progress pics in this thread....Sorry for the lateness.
Love that quilt!
That's a great looking axe. Shouldn't be too long now if we're seeing such progress!
Love the quilt and that finger board id sick!!
Holy crap to that quilt!! Mr Deeley had mentioned a shortage of nice quilt, but that's frickin awesome!! Uh, White knobs, by any chance??
Looking great Vaughn! Can't wait to see the NGD!
Holy poop! That is going to rock out with its c*** out...GORGEOUS...
If this is the same guitar I've seen( I don't want to ruin his NGD, so I won't say where), I can say the end product is STUNNING!! Great build Vaughn!!:congrats:
Judging by your location, yup, you've seen it.
So yes, the guitar is done, but won't be in my hands for awhile yet as it got done earlier than expected. But, I'll give ya the porn right now. roud:
To say I'm stoked by the looks of it would be understatement of the year. I couldn't be happier by how it all came together! When Brian sent me pics, I was literally shaking for like an hour. I had to drink a couple beers to take the edge off! I'm blown away. If it sounds 1/2 as good as it looks, I'll be in good shape. Just guessing, but I'll probably cry like a baby when I get it in my hands.
Huge thanks to Brian, Tina, Paul and the whole PS team. Outstanding job by what I can see so far! Thanks to JFB for giving me a nudge off the ledge and Rob for putting me up while in town. :adore:
Yes sir! That back looks awesome from here. And the top is spectacular - and the fretboard, and the headstock... I can't wait for the tone report.
Congrats, Vaughn - well-earned, and sure to be well-played!
Un-freaking-believable! That is utterly spectacular, Vaughn! I hope you get it soon, and that you enjoy it forever.
