PRS NF 53 vs my Fender Professional Telecaster

After seeing more videos of people who lost everything in the hurricanes, it feels wrong to buy another guitar right now. I am donating money to Samaritan's Purse who is providing food, clothing and relief to hundreds of people. This is a choice for me.
That’s awesome

I wonder if they’re using a dummy coil…….
I only see two wires per pickup in the electronics cavity. They're like individual, not in an insulated jacket.
So if they have anything else, PRS stripped them back way up the wiring harness and taped it all off.

Red and Green for one pickup, black and white wires for the other. Next time I change strings, I'll pull
the pickups and see what's really going on.

Trogly did a teardown and actually took apart one of the pickups. They're side-by-side humbuckers.

And according to the wiring diagram, they're also using a resistor for each pickup to tune its output.

The fact that they use different wire pairs for each pickup suggests to me that perhaps the neck and middle pickups have the two coils wired in parallel, and the bridge is possibly in series to give it a bit more beef.

While you could split the pickups, you probably wouldn't want to.
