Oops, almost forgot. New member. Hiya.

I'm actually looking at semi-hollows, SE level, but there aren't any in my city.

I consider the neck to be one of the most important for fit and feel. Are there any solid bodies that share the same neck as the semi-hollow.

My teacher uses an older model PRS SE semi-hollow (has dots instead of birds) and it sounds awesome. I also want a light weight guitar for standing practice.

Current is a Gibson Faded T and while it has modern weight relief, it still feels heavy.

I'll put my plug in for the newer Zach Meyers models...nice wide-fat mahogany neck (most of the SE models have maple). No tremelo tho if that's your thing.

SE’s basically have two profiles; wide fat and wide thin. Your teacher’s Semi will be W/F but keep in mind the newer ones are W/T, so if you love his... look for an older one.

Actually, it's the sound that has me. I laid hands on it only a couple times.

If your in the states Daves Guitar shop is a great place to get practically mint used SE's online. No tax, free shipping. They usually have dozens of them. Semi Hollows are not as common though.

Hmm he only has has one semi hollow right now a 2018 Custom 22 Semi for $595. Being a CU22 I expect it has a wide thin neck.

He usually has 3-4 Zach Myers for $495. Looks like he sold a LOT of guitars in the last month.

+1 for the Zach Myers. Different body shape, but a great instrument. The mahogany neck makes a big difference to the sound and feel IMO, and the ZM and older semi’s share that.
