PRS Metal Pickup Set In PRS SE Custom 24?

Hello everyone I just discovered some of the USA made PRS pickups offerings and ran across the Metal pickup set, what's your thoughts on these pickups? I have a stock 2021 PRS SE Custom 24 with the 85/15s pickups.

They are highly regarded around here. I debated between them and the DW tomahawks for my Floyd 30th se. Went DW.

Don't let the name fool you they are supppsedly very versatile pickups.

Not supposedly - they are very versatile. They are high output, but they clean up extremely well. The single coil sounds aren't bad, either. The name is somewhat deceptive - they are not one-trick ponies by any stretch.

I concur. They take gain extremely well. Nice clean up sound. Single coil is ok but not many high output pickups split great. Heck barely any. So they all can be a bit thin there. But my guess is if you want metal pickups splitting is not high on the list of importance. Very versatile pickups that can cover many genre.

Idk about the high output not the splitting well. I've always understood it to be the opposite. The JB has always been great to my ears split and my DW tomahawks are awesome too. I haven't wired my Tremonti bridge to spilt, but I assume it sounds good as well considering it has 4 wires and the neck has braided, but maybe not.

I can't say either way on the Metals split, but it could be a matter of differnet wiring.
