The tape serves to not only allow layout and protect the top from router base injuries, but also to protect the maple top from "chip out" from the router bit during routing. Nice project, dude. "Holcomb Custom".Ah yeah, I think the tape was to prep for the router to be placed on the top and mark the likes for the drill and router positions.

Moving right along! Little more work to be done, and then she's off to see Marty Bell for the refin! This thing is going to be off the charts when it's done!
Assuming no major delays with paint or setup, we should be seeing a completed project by November!

Still has 2 more color coats and then some clear coats ahead, but should be done in about a week or so and then she's off to see Skitchy for final assembly and setup! Looks like it's an early Christmas present for Matt this year, and considering how rough things have been recently on the health front, it's a very welcome time for some good news!

She's only going to be zebra for a few days, this one is going to be Yellow/Orange Bengal Tiger soon enough!
