I'm interested in putting a PRS metal bridge pickup in a guitar, but using a chrome covered pickup would just look wrong. Is there someplace that I'm missing where I could buy one of the ones that they use on the stock core model or am I just stuck trying to shop through used stuff?

An Uncovered Pickup Is No Different Than A Covered Pickup Aside From The Fact It Is Covered With A Pickup Cover.

If You Want The Uncovered Look, Simply Desolder The Pickup Cover And You Will Have A Beautiful Uncovered Pickup Awaiting Underneath Said Cover.

Easy Fix, Be At Peace About It.

I'm pretty sure the bobbins under the covers are not the squabbins on normal uncovered PRS pickups. There's just no way they'd fit.

So, no, it's not likely to look the same.

OP never mentioned squabbins. Heck, didn't even mention what guitar. It's not squabbin underneath, those are meant to fill the ring like covered pickups. Normal pickups or bobbins under the cover.

If you want the square-bobbins, you need to be patient on reverb/ebay. They pop up. It took me 2 years to find a perfect set, though. Mind that new TCI Metals have a different magnet composition and may sound completely different to what you used to
