PRS Lunar Silver Sky vs....FedEx

It should indeed be alright, I'm near certain packages experience much worse treatment inside their facilities that is best not seen.
Inspect the neck pocket to be sure (potential cracks in the finish).

"Sounds broken."
"Most likely, sir. I'll bet it was something nice, though..."

Actually, docteurseb's right, I think you're probably fine--it'll be inside its gig bag anyway, inside that box. Quick check of the headstock and neck joint, and if all looks okay, I wouldn't worry any more about it.

I've known people who work in a UPS warehouse. The stories they would tell...

I do shipping and receiving at a car dealership and I've seen some really messed up stuff come in. The majority of the shipping damages and losses were from FedEx.

UPS on the other hand knows where everything is and is nice enough to tell us if they think they've lost something and it usually shows up the next day.

That's something I'd share with them...but as Hans said...they just don't care...I'm sure they NEED to deliver 200 packages a day, or sumptin like that.
Imagine a Drone dropping it from 20 feet...That'll be the real test...we're only a couple years from that.

I'd say the guitar is totally fine especially if it was shipped by someone who has decent experience packing a guitar. I'm not a pro but I always pack guitars with this treatment in mind..and re-use factory/dealer packaging as much as possible.

Well that sucks. My FedEx guy is pretty good. We have a bit of an understanding. He treats our drop offs well. I see him all over the neighborhood when walking the dog and we always wave. Chat for a second if I’m home when he comes.

so...when do we see the guitar?

I've dumped a guitar that was but with much more force. It should be fin since it has 2 layers of cardboard and a gig bag or case (SS doesnt come in a case? That would piss me off!) and it fell lengthwise.

If it had dropped on the top or bottom I'd be worried. PRS are tough. I received a PRS Camo last year and the tip of the head stock pierced all the packaging and the box like an arrow. Guitar was fine!
