So on another thread in this forum, someone noted i had lost track of how many PRSs i had.

Jokes apart, thats when it hit me that ive hit double digits which is a touch crazy since i only first acquired a PRS five years ago. Also helps that i have never sold a core PRS guitar (which says something) while Gibsons, Fenders and ESP have slipped in and out.

So heres my fun weekend project, documenting this fun journey, one guitar at the time chronologically.

We shall begin this week with my trusty old Custom 22 from Ishibashi music Tokyo, which started this bug.

Coming next Saturday: A very special 594

Managed to find some pictures I downloaded from the original Ishibashi music website before I bought the guitar. Love how gothic it looks, and the custom color was one of the main reasons I bought the guitar.

Not all the Pictures work for me.

I commented on your Video in youtube. I do think this is a stunning instrument and love the colour purple that PRS have achieved. If I can't have Red, this colour would be a perfect alternative. I also love the fact that the faux binding is also stained Purple. The Black Puck-up rings too really compliment the top. I admit that solid colours that hide the wood grain are not my preferred option but a Purple and Black top wouldn't look right with the natural colours you associate with Mahogany.

In the Video, we get to hear how great it sounds too and it sounds at least as great as the guitar looks. What a fantastic guitar to start your PRS collection with!!

    Very cool.
My first and still favorite is a 02 CU22 in purple I bought new from Jack Gretz.

She's well played...wore out the first bridge..(may have had a little help from a tech that didn't understand teh knife edge)

That is indeed a very beautiful guitar!!
However, it’s not clear to me how it resembles anything from 4&5 century proto-Germans, or 12th century architecture

Haha think less Gothic architecture, more popular culture Gothic imagery. Actually just think Cradle of Filth ;)

I’ve been through...well, I lost count at 36. And I have 5. I have a few regrets, but I chalk that up to my misbegotten younger days (including early 2018, which wasn’t much of a younger day, but hey, cut me a little slack here for the sake of artistic license ;)).

    Sure is a pretty guitar.

    Very nice work.

I agree. Unless a ticket to the moon comes up I won't be selling my PRS guitars.

Although it would be a gas to be the first to play a PRS guitar on the moon ....
