PRS is ripping us off for not providing a hard-shell case for NF 53 and Silver Sky Core at their price.

Not to throw shade on your contention, as I prefer hard cases myself, but no one is being ripped off. You know that the guitar comes with a nice gig bag… if that is unacceptable for the price, you simply don’t buy it. Getting what is offered for the price you agreed to pay is called a purchase agreement. No one is ripped off when you both agree to the terms.

As far as if a hardshell case should be offered, your opinion is as valid as mine.

I agree for $3000 you should get a hard case, but your not going to get any sympathy on here about it. most of the people here are related to Paul.
No, we’re just unpaid, independent thinking, tell-it-like-it-is, non-sugar coating it, customer service.
Also, speaking strictly for myself, absolutely indifferent. I really don’t care.:)

I used the word rip off as click bait. Honestly though, what other company's sell $3,000 guitars or basses with a gig bag? They offer hard shell cases. I love PRS guitars, but I am disappointed with a gig bag at these prices. Sure, the SE I understand and maybe the S2 which is a stretch.

Could care less about the gig bag. I prefer them. If the case is the deal breaker it probably has more to do with pricing of the guitar in general and the case is the hill decided to die on. Simple solutions. Don't buy it, shop around, or go used. Plenty of deals and guitars out there.

I like gig bags, they are just easier for me. As for not getting a hsc with a new, $$$$ guitar, yeah, it seems weird. That case ain’t free though. The guitars would cost more with one, and if I need a case, it’s gonna be a TSA case, ‘cause that’s why I’d need it. Strictly my use use case and opinion though.

My hard cases are all stacked in the corner, next to my real guitars in gig bags. I actually take them out to gigs. Try it sometime, you might like it. It beats bitching about gig bags……….

A long time ago when the earth was green I used to transport my guitars to practice and gigs in their hard/heavy cases.
One morning I woke up.
Now it's excellent gig bags since, and not looking back...
