In the current - for the USA anyway - issue of Guitarist Magazine from the UK (July 2015 - Issue #395), there is a review of the new S2 Vela. Overall a favorable review, with some nice pics as usual, although a few of the comments raised my eyebrow. One tagline reads as follows: '... a new original design that just might make the 30 year-old company cool at long last!' Oh well; you know what they say about opinions...
The cover story is a Tribute to Mr. B.B. King. Also included are features on Steve Vai, Dr. John, Reb Beach, and Wes Montgomery. Plus reviews of guitars from Collings (Yay Texas!), Taylor, and amps from Fender and Laney.
Check it out if you get a chance. Buy a copy, head to Larry The Sod's Fine Food Emporium, order the Bubble and Squeak, and enjoy some quiet time to yourself. Not exactly like being in England, but close...
