The latest issue (#368) of the UK magazine "Guitarist" has an article with pictures on "Paul's Guitar". They compare it to a '94 Custon 22. The cover story is "Fifty Years of The Firebird". A great issue as usual.

It was a good review overall. There's something very intriguing about that guitar and not because it's 'Paul's Guitar'.

+1. What really ticked me off was when I was in London a few years back, I found out that the US price of the UK mags is approximately double. The UK price for the US magazines? About the same as in the US.

I had an overseas subscription to Guitarist when we moved from the UK to France but got fed up with the copies disappearing in the post. I now have a digital subscription sent to my iPad which always arrives and costs less. Win win.

I managed to get a great deal on a sub to Guitarist last year. 50% discount! Finally took it after finding less and less shops stocking it. Their readership has been relatively consistent for a while but the shops will only stock the big sellers which means row after row of celeb mags and the like.

BTW... If any of you Americans want a specific copy of Guitarist I'll gladly post one of mine off to you once I've read it. Would have to ask for the postage costs but the mag will be free. I keep hold of them for few months and usually chuck them once I need space.

I had the magazine subscription for the past few years. A gift from my wife. I finally switched it over to the ipad subscription and the price is much more reasonable.

If you have an iPad, you can get it electronically for $4.99 an issue. I like it better than paying $15 if I manage to find it at a newsstand.

Hmm... I poked around and don't see a way to do it. Hadn't crossed my mind, really! The app will let you compose messages with links in them, but I suspect that just gives the recipient an "opportunity" to buy the issue.
