I admit it... I love PRS Hollowbody guitars. I didn’t think I would. For decades, I never even considered using one. Bad past experiences with others of the similar appearance... that old chestnut. Then I actually ventured into the world of guitars with (gasp!) air inside, and my first venture was astonishingly good. The 1999 McCarty Hollowbody Spruce turned out to be a great instrument: sounded great, played great, looked great, left my lower back feeling great. Great all around!

Now I have brought in exhibit 2: a 2021 McCarty 594 Hollowbody II. I find myself singing Foreigner’s “Feels Like The First Time” in the smiling realization that 22 years later the Hollowbody experience is still as good, though different. More of less is a good thing.

I’ll throw in a few pics of mine, and you add anything of yours that is PRS Electric Hollowbody related... if it is PRS, has pickups, and air inside, it counts! It’s good to be even semi-hollow here.

So hot! White is classic, and the new one is simply stunning. I've had 2 Hollowbodys. Traded one, and sold one. Both went to forum members. Other than two Semi Hollows (SSH and 594), I have this 2000 McCarty Archtop.

I love that finish. I have a similar CSB 513 and every time I look at it, I still have to smile! Awesome guitars there! We’re equal opportunity oglers here... semi-hollows are welcome too!

Arrgghhh....This guitar is so incredible. I want an Archtop so badly...the thought of lounging on a couch with one of these, windows open on a nice day, playing acoustically just sounds so nice.

No real “air” inside these, still a great sounding guitar for the price:

These on the other hand have that “air” and is just a great guitar no matter the cost. I actually felt I overpaid until it arrived.

Then there’s this:

Errybody knows how I feel about these.

I may said that here before but I will say it again. IMO CU24 and HB are the biggest PRS archivments and one with the strongest PRS DNA I can think off. I already have perfect CU24 and sooooo looking forward to own HB

That sounds like a great idea! It’s supposed to get warm enough here in the next couple of days to actually open some windows

Still trying to get my SE hollowbody II to give me a jazz box tone. Maybe it can’t be done.

An early McCarty I bought on its way to Canada's version of NAMM

And then they made some Archtops, so my wife bought me one

At Experience 2009 I was seduced by a Sapphire Santana Dragon Paul handed to me - and used it as an excuse to by a hollow body with a piezo

Then I accidentally got the Moss Man to have this built. My wife thought it was too cool to let anyone else have so she bought it, making the blue one redundant. I'll stick it in a black case and send it to a new home.
