I didn’t post a new guitar day picture last week but I found a 594 in Copperhead. This is my third PRS in a year since I started playing. I take lessons every week and am getting better slowly. I bought three other guitars that are nice too but PRS is half of what I have. They are all very different and inspiring every time I pick them up. I hope to grow into them over the next few years. I have a lot to learn.

Awesome looking family. Those will for sure cover a lot of ground.
3 PRS in year huh....yep you're hooked. What's the next one gonna be?

An American ii tele in dark night arrived a few day later. I’m getting a matching hss Strat in dark night to pair up with it. I need to stop for awhile. I’ve so far out kicked my coverage that I need to catch up to the stuff I’ve bought this year. But I don’t have a hollowbody so there’s that.

Your gonna need a warehouse by the time you've been playing a while! Killer bunch of guitars!

Great guitars. Where are the amps? That’s the - arguably - most important piece of the tone puzzle. Save room for noise makers!

I have a Marshall DSL40CR that I play these on and a Fender DSP amp in my office that I leave running all day when I’m in there. I work out of the house so that allows me to grab one if I have a few minutes between calls or just need a break to clear my head. I was given a Squire from a friend that’s in there. I wanted to learn how to do a complete setup so I changed pickups, pots, added a bigger block,, rolled the fretboard, and changed the saddles. It’s pretty rough from a paint finish standpoint but a much better guitar than what was given to me. It’s a guitar that I can take anywhere and not worry about any damage and now sounds acceptable to good. It was fun doing this and I learned a lot. I wish my friends that play didn’t live in other states. I should have started this journey along time ago rather than at 54 but it’s really fun to learn new things and I have a lot to learn!

+1 for working from home and having your guitars around you! That's the single benefit from this pandemic. My guitar have much made changes more play time due to this...and I bought 5 new guitars because of it also (not all at once).

Play it well, the Squire setup experience .sounds like a lot of fun. 53 here...

The OP’s approach sounds similar to mine. I started playing two years ago at the age of 49. I wish I had started much earlier as I am getting a vast amount of enjoyment out of playing, particularly as my brother also plays (far better than I). I had acquired three very nice guitars, a splendid amp and some pedals in my first year - it is rare that I do not play daily and think this is also great mental exercise for areas of my brain that are not used during the work day. It’s also cheaper (well, maybe...) and much safer than hooning around on motorbikes. I indulge myself with guitars and am happy to continue slowly making progress. Just got my first PRS, a Silver Sky. Very impressed with it and I’m sure it won’t be my last PRS acquisition!

Thank you. I really love all three of them and their personalities are all different. That one was a gift from a great friend. He asked me what my next one was going to be and I showed him a picture of this one which he bought. I never saw that coming. My favorite neck both in feel and finish. The flame is beautiful on it.

I hadn’t played it for about a week since getting the 594 and a tele. When I plugged it in I had a run that I’d never done before and really surprised myself. Since I’ve only played a year I still reach milestones pretty frequently. Like cutting the grass each week I see progress. What a great way to spend time exercising my mind.
