PRS Family Photos thread

So since all my linked images here are dead (thanks Photobucket!), and I have acquired some new PRSi recently, here's an updated shinksma PRSi family photo:

Truffle, the dog that looks like a feather duster there in the foreground, had been a bit interested in participating in the photoshoot, but she soon realized she was not the main attraction and took a nap instead.

I still "need" a truly yellow (bright yellow) guitar to fill out the rainbow a bit better, and a nice vibrant orange wouldn't be sneered at either. And a blood orange. And a violet. And dark blue.

And maybe a nice raspberry would look nice.

I must admit I lust after an Al DiMeola partly just for the finish...

I've got an Al I'd trade or sell.

This is why I only buy couches that seat 3.lol. Sweet collection.

Wow, that's nice! And you got it signed by PRSh twice, including "To Matt"?! What is making you want to give up that personalized beastie?

There's still a 594 DC and 594 SC missing from the family and you have to decide i which colors you're gonna choose them ;)

Beautiful family and super cute pooch there Shinksma!!!
This thread makes me so mad about Photobucket all over again...soon I will get set up with a new way to post pics and this is going to be the first thread I post to...

I believe the red one should move, at least 2 guitars to the right.

Forgive my ill manners Shinksma. I didn't greet your wonderful family.
They are a great colorful bunch.
No worries!

And yeah, a 594, probably SC, is somewhere in the future. Maybe PRS Experience 2018!

I believe the red one should move, at least 2 guitars to the right.
I did mull that over, but I want the HB and 305 to represent the "yellow-orange" part of the spectrum for now, until I find suitable additions, then they can shift over to the right of the MM Baritone.

But where would you slot it in that spectrum?
Well, I would just have it lie in the middle in front of the others, length wise so the spectrums matched, like a pin-up girl! Of course, that would mean I need an Al D that has the "proper" rainbow, vs the original which is shifted 50% out of order. Or I guess I could arrange my other guitars to match...

When I procured my first PRS, a CU24, my dream guitar, I thought there was no way I would want to expand the collection - I had a nice LP Deluxe, a Tele, a Strat, an Epi Casino, and a few other guitars that held their own. Throw in a couple of acoustics, one 6 string one 12-string, and a Fender P-bass knock-off, and I was set!

Well, I was wro...I was mistak...THE UNIVERSE CONSPIRED AGAINST ME.

I am now up to 17 PRSi.

Anyway, you've possibly seen my Family Photos before. This is not so much a Family Photo as it is an Org Chart pre- and post- re-organization of my upstairs hallway. I have been running out of guitar hangers due to several acquisitions this year, so I needed to figure out how to organize better. This is what it looked like prior, with mostly PRSi hanging, some PRSi scattered elsewhere in the house, but other brands just lazing about:

(I would say forgive the LP Deluxe interloper, but I played it last night, and it played pretty good! But when I picked up my P245 SH, OMG...the lower weight, nicer neck, and tonez...)

And here is what I ended up with when I "condensed" (forgive the tilted view, but my mobile couldn't go any wider in FOV):

I have another wall that may undergo similar "condensation" sooner or later, but for now it houses all my non-PRS instruments (aforementioned LP Deluxe, Tele, Strat, Casino, etc).

I have reached the limit of that wall, it appears, but fortunately it is not the only wall in the offing, so more PRSi are not impossible...

Mini Rig of Doom

With these three guitars I'm nailing just about every sound I've been trying to nail for the last several years.. including a few sounds I didn't even know I wanted but now love.

It's funny... prior to PRS I never played clean. It was always either sort of dirty or really dirty. Now I spend much more time with the volume rolled back and exploring new territory.

I'd like to say that with these three PRS I'm all done... but we all know that the search never ends.
