Had a late night working lastnight, girlfriend had the television when I got done and she was watching the CMA's... WOW. Talk about a lot of PRS guitars on stage! Almost every act that I saw had at least one, but many had more. Seems like the country bands these days have 3-4 guitarists, or at least they did lastnight. Saw a lot of singlecuts, a Starla, couple of Customs, and probably more that I forgot about. For the supposedly small market share that PRS has, there were a ton on TV lastnight. I left the tube on for a while after the show, and Jimmy Kimmel was on, and the closer was another country act, Florida Georgia Line, who I hadn't heard of before. I'm not big into country, but I have to say, they were pretty good. Plus, they also had a couple of PRSi onstage - their rhythm player was rocking a Singlecut, and their lead player played a very convincing solo, as the camera turns to him, whaddya know, he's playing a Bernie SE! Appeared to be bone stock too! So, I don't know if anyone else was watching lastnight, but it was a great night for PRS!

It's very cool how PRS guitars have caught on in country so much! For so long, it was thought of as a Shoegazer guitar. Nu-Metal, etc.

Just goes to show ya that a great guitar works in a lot of contexts.

They're everywhere! They're everywhere!!!

I was watching Sammy Hagar's birthday bash on cable this week and noticed that his guitarist, Vic Johnson was playing an all mahogany SC. His tones were killer, of course.

The last GC/PRS clinic I attended in Dallas, PRSh was there with David Grissom, and they mentioned they were heading to Nashville to meet with 50 or so session guitarists. Those meetings must have been pretty successful!
