Hi everybody, I am the proud new owner of a custom 24, great all around guitar, I love it, I'm wondering if a dgt would give me good jazz tones, as I know the dgt was inspired by Grissom's 335.

What is your opinions or experience ?

thanks!!

I used my DGT as a jazz guitar when I first got it . Middle position on the three way with neck pickup slightly rolled off gives a really nice jazz feel .

Heck, I love my Cu24 for jazz! Neck pickup, tone around 4 with the amp nice and clean, and I get a soft, punchy, and still well defined jazz tone. Mine is an older model with the VB/HFS combination BTW.

No steenkin DGT needed! : - ))

The DGT pickups were inspired or modeled after the PAF pickups in Grissom´s 335. The DGT as a whole guitar is quite different but it can do Jazz Tones fairly well.
