I got mine a few weeks back too. LOVING it. Gotta say I'm surprised to see them hanging around on Reverb. I figured these would be gone right out of the gate.

Well, they are listing for over $2K more than a "regular" core DGT - that's a lot of extra coin to throw at a guitar that has a feature that many maybe don't want - the semi-hollow build. Die-hard DGT fans will already have one of the normal core models (if they can afford it) or one of the SE models (for those with more modest budgets).

As I said in a previous post, I like the idea of the guitar, but if I had $6K plus (MAP) to throw at a guitar, I'd throw it at something else first. That's IMHO, of course. I'm also a fan of birds, so the moons don't really make me swoon, either.

Should these come out as production core guitar, with birds and other finishes, I may snag one eventually.

I'd love to have one but the current price is about what I paid for my IRW neck WL DGT and my Korina Santana KL33 combined ... now if it had a Rosewood , Korina or Torrified flame Maple neck and nice birds ...at that price it would be a different story.

I now have one of these. I was going to return it, but I scratched the back. Drat.

Amazing guitar through and through. After playing guitar (poorly)(I'm a drummer) for almost 40 years, I now have a true #1. No other guitar has ever grabbed my attention like this one does (including my Collings I35, 470 JL (already sold), Nacho BG and Strat, etc).

Crazy how things work. Now, I getta sell everything else I was cycling through and just enough this bad boy until I croak.

Exactly. Love the DGT so already have a Core that I bought used. Also have a 594 Hollowbody. Adding the DGT Semi wouldn’t make sense. Of course the Semi is a great guitar and of course I want it anyway, but hey, impulse control and all that.

My wife bought me the DGT Semi-Hollow. As a matter of fact, she's bought me most of my guitars. Not sure what I did to be blessed with a woman like her, just thankful she is mine!
