It's just cosmetic. It won't hurt anything. When a pre-molded nut is utilized, this often happens, especially on guitars that may have a thicker finish.
Me again here; the pickup selector makes a popping noise. Audible when strings ring/theres some volume present. The store where i bought it offered to replace the guitar. Overall Im quite happy with the guitar i got. Would you guys risk it? I might Get a Worse one right?

Your call, if the guitar plays/sounds great, minus the noisy switch, you could take the refund and use the money for the switch, which may or may not solve the noise.
