Hi and this is my first post to the forum. I've owned a gold top DGT SE for about a year and a half. This is my first PRS and have been is Strat type guy for many years so quite familiar with setting my Strats. I actually had a setup done on the DGT SE a while back and due weather changes recently, I needed to adjust the truss rod. This got me into becoming more familiar with figuring out how I want this guitar setup since the feel changed after the truss rod adjustment. The guitar tech who did the initial setup really over emphasized the height of the D G strings making really difficult to play lead lines with alternate picking on those adjacent strings. I really want a playable guitar on the entire neck, which is subjective, and finding it's been difficult to achieve this so far.

When you're setting your PRS guitars up after setting the neck relief, then low & high E strings height, how are determining your saddle heights? Are you using a radius gauge or by feel? I have a pic of my bridge saddles but can see where to attach the file.

Thanks in advance for anyone who comments on this.

IMHO you can do it most anyway that works for you.
It's easier to measure if you have a 64s ruler it becomes really easy ( 7/64s high E and 8/64s centered on each string ) is a great place to start for me.
For years I used an old business card with .060 High E / .064 G / .067 Low E and used a radius gauge and feel to set the rest of the strings then adjusted to taste and best for each guitar

I’m a radius gauge guy. I start with that, knowing a 10” radius should get me what I want. I hope you haven’t decked the trem like so many try guys. I’ve had to fix that on. A lot of used instruments. You have to slack everything and disconnect the trem springs so you don’t ruin the knife edges.

I haven't decked the trem and it's sitting on the body of the guitar. Are they setup from the factory with the trem sitting on the body? I think the only changes I'm considering are the upgrade the tuners to locking tuners.
