Hello,

this thread obviously presumes that you own both guitars or at least know each of them quite well. Thats not so easy because the CU24 Semi Hollow is no basic core model, but I will try my luck.
So my question is which one you would prefer in terms of overall sound, versatility or in other words, which one would you pick if you could only have one of them and why?
To be a bit more specific, I like to play different styles of music, from more acoustic or calmer sounds (like some John Mayer stuff), to a rockier music (Incubus, dredg, porcupine tree) or even a little heavier (like Karnivool). But the most important are the first two.
The exact CU24 Semi Hollows I mean also have 58/15 LT Pickups and the normal 5 way switch. Some have a Swamp Ash, some a Mahogany body and of course all have a Trem.
Also it's worth mentioning that I already have a Les Paul, because sometimes the 594 gets compared to this model. I do think they still are quite different, but thats just whats on my mind.

So maybe someone can help and tell me something about his experiences. Thanks!

You'll have both before too long, don't stress the order you get them in :)

But I vote CU24 SH, something quite different from your Les Paul.

Ditto! Actually, I'd get the Cu24 and then trade the LP in towards the 594
